You can use the wideband with the LRP,it will shorten the life of the sensor marginally!! Its not like you gonna leave it there,only a few km's to get a consistent reading to know where you stand!!

Ok, so now I'm sick and tired of this old school tech!

The car will get a full strip down now! Body will get some tlc with a new cool spray job!

Old scool classic bucket seats
Modified rear suspension
Uprated rear brakes
Sound proofing
New carpets
New roof lining
All new window rubbers and trimmings
Any thing not working or not functioning as it should will be replaced or improved!

Now, next question......MOTOR!

Let me tell you guys what I want:
It needs to be fuel injected (economical) motor, the car only wieghts 750kg so most motors will work very well!

I want to run the motors stock wiring loom and ecu, I DO NOT want to run stand alone system.

So, I've got a 200sx S15 SR20DE VVT motor at home, but finding a loom and ecu will be a major issue.

So any suggestions guys? Please!

Maybe you should pop in by the importers and check if they have a motor there with loom and ECU :idea:

I might need to do that.

Was thinking in the route of the CA18DE that came out in the old wedge shape sentra, sure the 200SX gearbox would fit. And you should be able to get a full loom and ecu

Those are nice engines,and a bit closer to period!! I think the look will fit better atleast!!

I see the Zetec is a very populat swop, any idea out of what car it comes out of and what gearbox will fit?

The ford Rocam motor is also very period? But man it has got very little power!also don't know it its fuel injected?

Zetec comes out of the escorts,dont ask me models...... probably late 90s early millenium!!!

Rocam!! 1.3 and 1.6 both fuel injected but no that lazy hey!! i towed my drag car when it was still kind of a street car (heavy) to the track with my bantam(1.3 Rocam) and it did the job well!! Ran very well for day to day use also but had sludge problems even with regular servicing!! So maybe not so lekker then!!

I was thinking zetec aswell,but dont know them so well,so cant really comment on them!! Maybe you must go TDi :lol:

The Kent, CVH, Rocam and Zetec blocks all have the same bolt patern as far as I'm aware, so you should be able to bolt any old Ford gearbox up to them.
