I only received these pics so that is all I have as my camera was forgotten at home :wtf:


We qualified 4th witch was Awesome as the car is nowhere near finished I mean it has not even been on a Dyno to sort the Carbs out or for Wheel alignment to make sure the camber/caster and toe is set properly......

I slipped gears a couple of times and then once or twice I changed down to third and not second so was slow out of the turns, so we finished the first race in 6th place.

then the second race I was driving the bolls of the car and ended 4th :thumb: so ja we almost got a trophy for the weekend.....

when I got back to the pits the one carb was only held on by 1 of the 4 bolts (one was missing and the other 2 where completely loose.) and both the gearbox mounting bolts where completely undone an hanging by the safety wires.........


So I will need to invest in some tread locker......

Wat stel julle voor doen ek om die kar te kry om nie sy wielle te lig nie?

as julle mooi kyk sal julle sien alby die wielle is in die lig en ek het hulle gelig 7 uit die 10 laps..... sodra die slicks warm is dan kan ek vinnig genoeg deur die skerp draaie gaan dat die bitch haar so lig...... en glo my jy will in jou race suit kak as dit gebeur.......

Ek is seker ek kan nog 2 - 4 sec van my Lap tye af haal as sy nie been lig nie.......

my beste tyd was 1:21.xxx ave. tyd was 1:22.xxx ek will graag 1:20.xxx doen dan kan ek 1st plek in die klas vat.......

Al wat ek kan dink is om die springs stywer te maak. daar is nog baie body roll, wat maak dat dit die kar so trek, maw as die srpings stywer is, dan gaan die body meer op die binne katste wiele lê en hulle op die grond hou.

Dit lyk vir my ook asof jou diff so bietjie rondskuif, het jy al 'n Panhard rod in om die diff in sy posisie te hou?

Boksie, die kar se suspension is 100% standaard behalwe vir die volgende:

agter het ek 'n extra blad veer onderstebo bo op die pak vere gesit sodat dit die pak vere reguit druk en 40mm blokies tussen die diff en die pak vere
Voor het ek 2.5 draaie van die coil spring met die grinder af gesny.......

ek probeer nou van daai treaded tubes kry om die voorste struts om te skakel on coilovers, ek kan springs koop by ATS so moet net treaded tube met die nuts kry.

ek weet nog nie wat om agter te doen nie.

ek will ook nog hoor hoe mens te werk gaan om daai Golf arches agter op te sit want ek het net 6 duim slicks op en die body is max gerol maar ek wil 7 duim slicks later op sit.....

maar eers moet die wiele op die grond kom......

Jy sny die Golf arch uit en sit dit dan op die datsun body en sny dit dieselfde uit.

Ek sou as ek jy is 'n Panhard rod ook insit, dit gaan moerse help met die diff se rondskuiwery onder die kar, dit help baie met straightline stability en om die body onder beheer te hou agter as jy om draaie gaan. En ja, ek sou die springe stywer maak, dit sal baie help.

so die Panhard rod sal van die een kant aan die body attach met rose joint dan na die ander kant gaan maar aan die onderste shock mount met nog n rose joint attach.

Ja so iets, maar jou mounting points moet so naby moontlik dieselfde hoogte wees anders as jy corner dan met die wat die diff swivel dan stoot die Panhard rod hom ook kelin bietjie rond, maar hy is nog steeds baie beter en voorspelbaar as net so op die vere.

Jy kan die hoogtes verskillend maak en baie ouens het meer as 1 stel gate, dit gebruik jy om die rod te skuif afhangende van die baan wat jy op ry, as hy meer draaie het in een rigting, dan sit jy hom een manier, anders om as sy draaie anderkant toe is.

Die maklikste is net om hom neutral te maak met die moutings dieselfde hoogte.

Ek weet nie van nie, ek weet wel Scooby het iewers gekoop vir syne, en Nasser het onlangs vir sy Corolla gekoop hier by ons iewers. Vra dlak in hulle threads.

so

voor wil ek die volgende doen
1.ek will die neus nog drop en dan 350 pond springs in sit. (as per a fellow race driver)
2. ek will nog n anti rollbar onder die bestaande een insit (double anti-rollbar) (as per RaceTech - he does gymkanas with his datti)

Agter

1. wishbone of panard rod
2 coilover shocks insted of just shocks

maar ek kort treaded tubing om die voorste struts te mod en n foto of plan/tekening vir die wishbone....

Yes, net baie meer werk as Panhard rod, maar werk beter op die ou einde. Al ding is net, maak net die voorste punt dat hy kan swivel met a rose joint of iets, so solid gaan hy maak dat die kar sy voorwiel optel om selfs 'n stadige draai. My pa het dit ook se gedoen en moes toe 'n swivel insit met sy kar.
