When you get a moment give us a intro, is this a project car or your daily drive. post some pics. there are many Toy fans here and heated debates, especially when people start bolting on turbo's and superchargers,using Honda rods on the 4age's and other stupid things

Yip it is one of two, the other is 100% standard and original, this one is running a 4AGZE, MR TURBO, and all other kinds of goodies.

for now it does 15.5 on the quater mile, .4 bar boost, wheelspin all the way 1st, 2nd and third,no proper drag tyres, this will come later, not fussed right now, otherwise standard GZE, .8 bar in a week or two, and 1.2 bar turbo soon after, all goodies bave been installed with this in mind.

other toys include a boxie BMW(another project :mrgreen: ), corsa B with lots of VAT, Lazer 200iRS, and polo for wifey.

Well.............its been a while, been on and off here for years, not saying much, lurking

reading my intro..cringe, why I was not told to GTFO by everyone is surprising lol.

anyway, pretty much all those cars in above post have since gone, with exception of the RSi, if that poor car can talk, well its been 16v supercharged, been blown up many times, then ended up 20v supercharged, fastest its ever been, 13.8 STS on 14 inch TSW omegas cheapy street tyres, that was impressive for such a little low boost motor.

anyway, stripped engine bay with eye to redo bay..in between started a mech shop that was a disaster, did my rep no good at all, car stood stripped for more than a year, sold off the 20v SC motor piece by piece, at end of the day decided to fully restore the RSi, simply because stock standard factory spec ones are really hard to find, so now it sleeps in one of my garages, stock ser1 motor, stock management etc. 100 percent factory.

in between I have had various monsters, 20v tazz, nitrous corsa *still have this*, 256wkw 4age turbo tazz, Astra TS, 2.0 16V FE turbo bantam, SC Avante GLi. among others.

last year I purchased my other dream car, Opel Superboss, long story there, but lets just say it was not what I expected, so stripped it down and threw away the body, friends of mine found me a excellent black original supie body, been painted and restored, now being built with parts from old supie, at least all the bits was original, most new oem GM, and correct, so car will be restored to factory spec, as it stood on showroom floor.

My son is a huge Nissan fan, so when a friends 200sx S13 with SR20DET came up for sale, I got it for him, fantastic car, so much spent on it, all the right mods.

so just a month or so ago another good friend told me he is leaving Sa for Canada, and his car would be up for sale.
I jumped at the opportunity, as I always admired this car, and I do love a RSI, so now I am owner of 88RSI.GP
as featured in many threads on this here forum.

have lots of plans for it, but first on list is full body resto, as its pretty shabby, original paint etc, and car is 30 years old, front fender and bonnet needs replacing, some dents removed, and then we can see about cleaning up the dash and getting everything set up.

will swop all the gauges for glowshift stuff we are agents for, and change steering etc to some new stuff.
probe change seats for genuine brides, and fit new original takata harnass, as the current ones have expired, and seats are a bit shabby now.

have a huge stock of AE82 parts etc, so will fix and clean up what I can. its running PP management, so going to buy the latest version, and add some displays that are available for these new units, so I can have a bank of identical displays showing all the management data I need to see, saves on having to fit external wideband, as PP has its own, and can then display the reading.

then the plan is to fit new Precision turbo, and fit supercharger, help ist get going so to speak, been toying with the twincharge idea a while, and my 4age 20v supercharge was a great success.

boost comes in a bit late, charger will help eliminate that without use of gas, .8 bar initially until turbo spools, so maybe first gear charger only pretty much, around maybe 140 to 160wkw, second gear have turbo come on song, but not to full potential, maybe up power to around 200 to 250wkw?, then third its full 1.6 bar, maybe more, pushing over 250wkw, as was done on yhis motor before easily, should make for a quick 400m, and should be fun around the Z.

but as we all know, things do not work as you hope or expect, but we will try, and see where it ends up, as it is my sons Nissan makes over 250wkw, we have done some...ah...changes lol

so now I have to play catchup.

What supporting mods have you done to get 250wkw on the 4age? 20v 16v? Comp ratio, internals, boost, block o-ring and i understand it's on pump fuel etc?

I got a boxie corolla and im on the fence between 3sgte and 4age. looking for around 250wkw

well i can only quote on specs given by previous owner, but its pretty well documented on this site.

motor is fully forged unit, forged rods and pistons, arias if i am correct, arp everything, 20v blacktop head, Toda bits and springs etc., its really is very very strong.

my old 4age 16v turbo i had in my tazz was 256wkw, there i ran monster rods, arias pistons, cometic HG, ACL bearings and all ARP.

clutches just would not last, had all kinds of buttons made up, and it would either slip after a short time, or just shear it off.
gearboxes also did not last, hence GZE box used eventually, 20v also has GZE box with LSD.
20v uses Tilton clutch, so manages to hold the power.
