BTW, this stupid toaster(Hyundai) I'm driving seems to be screwing me around with dead plugs or something. It uses NGK BKR5ES(BKR5EK alternative), if you could match that in the platinum ones, I'll have a set at R60 each please.

ok cool they will be R60 each x 4
ordering more plugs for sarel tonight for his alfa, i'll add your autolite platinum x4 :D

Ok, so I did a simple test this morning. I had an old set of Denso Platinums that came with my GZE motor when I bought it. They are one heat range colder though, but installed them in the Hyundai anyway, and the problem seems to be gone. It used to feel as if it was surging under acceleration, and it would sometimes sputter at high RPM. So if you could get me the following plug in platinum, please let me know.

NGK BKR5ES

EDIT: The test was done after my last post inquiring about the plugs...

Great, I'll just drive with these old ones until you let me know the new ones are here. Thanks.

Quick hi-jack...

What do you use in the boksie?/ I used to use BCPR6ES on my Ze setup and they were perfect.

Don't think it's a hi-jack, it's still plug related, and it generates interest in the thread and can only help him sell more plugs...

I bought the motor with a set of Denso PQ20R Platinum plugs in it, but at the time replaced them with the NGK BCPR6ES like you used. At the beginning of last year after I rebuilt the motor, I got a set of NGK BCPR6EP-11 Platinum plugs, throttle response was sharper, power deliver was smoother, and cold start easier(as I said before). The difference was very noticeable, not just imagination.

So I firmly beleive that the Platinum plugs are superior to the old traditional spark plugs, and the Iridium ones OldSkool sell should be even better.

Howsit Ralph, My Cuz bought himself a 1955 Chev Belair . When he just bought it, i mentioned Motown auto to him and he said he'll let me know when he's ready.
The body work is just about done and he's looking for an engine for it.
Anything in store? or Available that you know of?
He says he'd prefer a V8 Chev engine of course

What do u reccomend? :help:
