http://www.tunemytoyota.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8161guess found some post and some vids on this forum about fitting a 2zzge turbo setup in a chisel shape, by no means am I taking credit for it but using it a base for a discussion-but the real build is on the twincam org forum, trying to get there to see the complete build, Lets start at the beginning, a 2zzge swap vs a 3sge swap? pros and cons........ AND then maybe move over to the boosted setup, 2zzgte vs 3sgte. Well my opinion is, the 2zzge is a better move for us in SA,correct me if im wrong, all one needs is a 2zzge motor +- 15k (with stock ecu+key) or after market ecu(perfect power of gotech pro), maybe custom mounts, im sure the 4age gearbox will fit it(Saving on cost, optional) if going with the 4age box, drop lift(+-5500) so it takes care of the gearbox which drops revs too low(keep in mind when turbo, the rev being dropped low will help with a strong turbo pull) Shafts and so on will still remain the same because of the box one is using, exhaust mani might need to be modified due to it being at the back of motor,i stand to be corrected but i don't see much bigger changes besides the fueling will need a stronger fuel pump(Walbo upgrade) 1k +-, is it worth it?over a 3sge?(3sge done by a forum member cost him a lot) parts are around and easy to get but being a newer age motor will cost a little more than a normal 4age part, but in terms of a 3sge part which will need imported parts, that can cost you more and the wait of it being shipped over is another story plus customs :pukeright:

2zz isnt not a straight swap, there are height issues of the motor, I believe it will NOT fit to a twincam box, so shafts etc need attention.
Under boost...they can make over 200kw, but anything more and you gonna have to start looking at stronger internals.

Height issues, it fitted in a ae82 so guess its been worked passed that, also what is the difference between the two gearbox? From what I know of, there was guy how fitted a X box on he's 20v 6spd after breaking he's 6spd box,

I can tell u the 2zz fits in ae111  but with the 2zz gearbox bigger shafts etc...

Because its not a 4age its a 2zzge. this is not gonna be cheap! I think u should skip it!

@superC no bud, I'm not doing it, just clearing up the unknown areas, reason is, I saw the 2zzge turbo ae82 vid on you tube, so had to see what was needed to make this work, and wanted to share with other members , but if I had the money, I would go 2zzge just to enjoy the fun of this motor in a light body, maybe in 10years time when the motor is not so costly

2zzge cost a shit load to mod well from my budget point of view. in N/A cams head work valve train upgrade would be 20k easy... no clue what 3s mods cost

True it will cost alot, but look at the results of it,a strong X does 14.7s 1/4 mile, im sure when its in a car thats almost 200kgs lighter, should get you in the 13s,
