Hwzt guys...
Very very interesting info... I understand what you'll are saying regarding reliability and the rod angle...
But preformance wise for pure 1/4mile racing which would out do the other ? Also not a daily drive.

There's not going to be much difference in power between the two, I'd guess at most 5kw if that. But the one will be more reliable in any event than the other.

there lots of ways to build a strong 20lt 16v n/a golf..pm me if you looking for info..(i used ca20 pistons already and it worked,but not reliable though.

Yup many ways to skin a cat.
Interesting things, i drove in a friends golf that had n totally worked abf (LongBlock i'd say the longblock is much better than short blok), he ran 12.9s at tarlton on quarter mile, street golf, running avgas, 14.5 compression, knife edged polo 98mm crank, bmw 84mm pistons, flowed head, 288cams precision throttles, think 700cc injectors,4-1 branch,
