so im busy rebuilding a motor and feel like doing some nice things to it lol. got my inspiration from some beautiful motors on the net.
worx advised that i go something like 11.1:1 comp ratio and 272 cams with around 9mm lift
i initially wanted to pop in BT pistons to "up" the comp ratio but found a few other ways to bump it up without having to get other pistons. i wanted to oversize as well but im thinking of rather not going with oversize.
anyway, another thing that i would like to have done is balacing the bottom end. i will be sending it away soon but i need to check a few things before i do.
so for the question... when you guys need this done, who do you send it to?
i spoke to pro engineering (i think thats the name) in parden island and this is what the quote was
skim head R250
deck block R350
balance bottom end R850-R950 (obviously sending pistons clutch and flywheel and pp with as well)
so has anybody used them before? any good or bad stories?
who else can do it? and at what price?
il post pics of a few things i picked up while taking the motor apart, just for some expert opinions. i saw some things i havent really seen before that need some diagnoses.
thanks in advance

PS due to the current strong rand vs dollar exchange rate, you can pick up a hasselgren formula atlantic 4age engine that makes around 183 kw for the cheap price of R120 000
