I have now, for a couple of weeks, been busy with the build on my own little monster. Based purely on the design of the Neo1, along with all the little tricks I've come to learn in the build of the first two. Also a couple of tricks added to facilitate easier suspension alterations and setup.

power is still up in the air, It will be ether of the following....

4A-GZE Turbocharged
4G63 Magnus
13B Turbocharged
20B Lightly turbocharged


well it came down to....
20V Silvertop 4AGE +Boost

It's color will be Diamond Black with the frame in Sparkle silver.

and here a couple of pictures so far....



Frame construction will continue fresh in the New year, and the project will progress as funds and time becomes available... This will be a weekend\Night-time exercise, so some midnight-oil on the burner will be the thing. (and lots of coffee) :D

600 ponies on 600kg does have that magical sounding hum to it, if you say it fast enough...

The Magnus option being by far the most expensive of the lot, makes it a kind of a " if I win the lotto" option.

most probable is definately the 13BT... As I allready have the motor and gearbox for that option, with the 20B a very easy snap-on upgrade....

I actually have 2.
a fairly std, mildly street-ported motor, probably good for about 180Bhp in Na Trim and about 280~300Bhp boosted.

then a have a 450Bhp Monster-port, but that thing is a monster, probably not very suitable for a road-going car, it's very noizy and being a monster (perifiral) port, boosting it will negate the need for injectors.... just drill holes into manifold and connect straight up to 4 fuel-pumps.... :D

the complete suspension, less all the parts to be imported from yonder the pond. :shock:




now amazingly enough, these items, if they where to be baught from Ariel, would rip your wallet a brand spanking new hole the size of the Kimberley-se-GAT (aprox R180,000.00 +-, not including rod-ends and stuff)

mine's also a lot stronger, rated at about 1000BHP for a car weighing no more than 800KG

It will be based on a Toyota 4AGZE Gearbox, and the clutch will be custom made. like so


this way, I can even have the 4A-GTE as an easy snap-on alternative.... If only I can get a dog-engagement gearset for this box.....That be ultra super-duper cool... :D

probably a lot more than 300.... just remember that they will not last as long as you might want them to, but that's the cost of performance, like wanting a set of racing slicks to last you 50K Km... not gona happen...

this is the tedious part of the project, getting all these sleeves and shafts made, and there's always at least 4 of each of them.... I hate repetition jobs....


The bellcrank shafts, in the making.


Most of the parts for the 4 bellcranks.




The frame and rear engine sub-frame.


Pre-installed suspension hardpoints.


And the front Sub-frame.


Here, the front and rear, in close proximity to 1another...
